20 degrees Celsius =
68°F
Formula: °F = °C × 1.8 + 32
Show the steps
- Multiply by 1.8: 20 × 1.8 = 36
- Add 32: 36 + 32 = 68 °F
Definitions used: t/°C = T/K − 273.15; t/°C = (t/°F − 32) / 1.8.

How to convert degrees Celsius to degrees Fahrenheit
The two scales have different zeros and different step sizes, so the conversion takes two operations. NIST writes the rule as: t/°C = (t/°F − 32) / 1.8.
°F = °C × 1.8 + 32
Worked example: 20 °C to °F
- Multiply by 1.8: 20 × 1.8 = 36
- Add 32: 36 + 32 = 68 °F
- Answer: 20 °C = 68 °F.

What is the fast way to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit?
Double the Celsius value and add 30. 20 °C → 40 + 30 = 70 °F (exact: 68 °F). It is within a few degrees for everyday weather and drifts as you move away from 10 °C, so do not use it for ovens.
What are 180 °C and 200 °C in Fahrenheit for baking?
180 °C is 356 °F, the setting US recipes call 350 °F. 200 °C is 392 °F (often written 400 °F) and 220 °C is 428 °F (425 °F).
