350 degrees Fahrenheit =

176.667°C

Formula: °C = (°F − 32) ÷ 1.8

Show the steps
  1. Subtract 32: 350 − 32 = 318
  2. Divide by 1.8: 318 ÷ 1.8 = 176.667 °C

Definitions used: t/°C = (t/°F − 32) / 1.8; t/°C = T/K − 273.15.

How to convert degrees Fahrenheit to degrees Celsius

The two scales have different zeros and different step sizes, so the conversion takes two operations. NIST writes the rule as: t/°C = (t/°F − 32) / 1.8.

°C = (°F − 32) ÷ 1.8

Worked example: 350 °F to °C

  1. Subtract 32: 350 − 32 = 318
  2. Divide by 1.8: 318 ÷ 1.8 = 176.667 °C
  3. Answer: 350 °F = 176.667 °C.
